CODE OF CONDUCT
We are committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all participants. Adherence to this Code of Conduct ensures a positive environment in line with our national organization, local chapter, and event venue guidelines.
Purpose
This Code of Conduct outlines expectations for members, guests, affiliates, and potential members at all events associated with the Eta Kappa Alumni Chapter. It aims to foster respect, inclusivity, and enjoyment for everyone.
The Code applies to all Sigma Nu Eta Kappa alumni members and associates, covering behavior at all
alumni events, including physical, virtual, and social media interactions.
Principles
Respect and Dignity: Treat everyone with respect. Harassment, bullying, and discrimination are prohibited.
Avoidance of Offensive Behavior: Avoid actions that may be offensive or objectionable.
Consent: Obtain consent for interactions that could cause discomfort. Consent must be informed, freely given, and reversible.
Safe Environment: Contribute to a safe and welcoming environment. Avoid excessive drinking, substance abuse, and offensive behavior.
Accountability: Be responsible for your actions and their impact on others.
Inclusivity: Ensure events are accessible and welcoming to all.
Compliance with Policies and Laws: Adhere to University policies, local laws, and Sigma Nu national and chapter policies.
